Research papers are very informative and can hold a lot of knowledge on one specific subject. Research papers include many quotations and facts that are said and in different resources. If a famous person said something that means a lot about the topic you pick, then you can include their opinion into the research paper. While doing the research there are many ways on conducting the information to support your paper. One main way of this is by gathering information out of the library. The library can hold numerous books and magazines that can be about your topic. Another way to gather information is by a web-based search. This gives you different websites to visit and can have almost any article you can think of. The last kind of research is field based research. This is where you can actually take information from a laboratory or from studies of living objects. This gives you actual numbers and real life proof. Along with getting information you need to make sure that your sources are reliable. Some questions you might want to ask yourself is if it is a scholarly journal or book and if it is even a popular source. Other questions form like who wrote the article, is the information recent, and is the information original. By asking these questions you can narrow down and see if the source is reliable or not. By doing all of these things you should have a good research paper with a lot of facts and information.

Civil Engagement
Cantor argues that one way to have cultural diversity is by admitting and recruiting different ethnicities and people. This allows the whole university to have a variety of students. Another way to get diversity is by creating a learning and living community where they will be engaged and informed. Another point Cantor says is to create opportunities and settings that can create true integration. Based on this information I do believe that we do need cultural diversity but not change everything the school is based on. The biggest task for the university would have to be finding the variety of students that pick their expectations.

Diversity at Western Michigan University
Most of the research students do now a day in on the internet; clicking different websites that all look different. Sometimes people only spend 5 seconds looking at the site and exit it right away. When people are looking at specific topics they don’t want to spend hours looking for them on the website. Let’s say the topic diversity and multiculturalism; at the Western site right on the home page you can find the topics. One you enter the site and find a picture right in the middle of the page and it says play video. All the different videos are from different people who have different cultures and diversity and how they are going to bring it to Western. It can be as simple as the different degrees they are going to pursue. Diversity is all over this site all you have to do is click around and find what diversity means to you.
